-Carey girls own the Chapeau
-From Imagineering: “Nancy [Carey] moved to Main Street after spending many happy years with her family in the ‘yellow house’ in beautiful Beulah. She had set out to seek her fortune, but she wanted to do something artistic, something that would bring happiness to people.
And at the height of ragtime and hometown Easter parades, nothing could compare to fine headwear! So Nancy enlisted her notoriously fashion-conscious cousin, Julia Carey, and opened a small millinery and hat shop, where together they would design, make, and sell hats of all sorts for the ladies and gentlemen of Main Street. They dubbed their new venture the Chapeau, a suitably highbrow name reflecting the time Julia spent in the fashion capital of the world, Paris.”
Citizens of Main Street

The Windows on Main Street
Partners statue (sculpted by Blaine Gibson)
-“I chose to depict Walt as he was in 1954. I think that was when Walt was in his prime. It was tough trying to match the media image of Walt Disney, the one the public knows, to the real Walt, the one we knew. I think Walt is admiring the park and saying to Mickey, ‘Look what we’ve accomplished together,’ because truly they were very much a team through it all. ‘Look at all the happy people who have come to visit us today.’”
-‘STR’ logo reference to Smoke Tree Ranch
-has an Irish Claddagh wedding ring on right hand
-size of Mickey based on Walt’s gestures while voice acting for “The Pointer”
-installed in 1993
Sharing the Magic statue (sculpted by Blaine Gibson)
-“Roy is sitting back in the bench which indicates he was there first and Minnie came to him, not that he came to him, not that he came up to her to ask why she was sitting down and not working…Also, he is holding her hand underneath so he is supporting it, just like he always supported Walt’s dreams. Roy was very underrated.”
-installed in 1999
